That's Phy. aureosulcata 'aureocaulis'. Nice, isn't it? It will be even better when it puts on a bit more size (next year I hope).

ReplyDeleteRe: photos 5 & 6 that appear side-by-side, what is the vine - at least it appears to be one vine - that has two differently colored leaves, one a purple and the other a yellow-green? Reminds me of a potato vine, but mine doesn't have that bi-coloring.
sandy: that *is* a sweet potato vine... although I'm not sure of the exact variety. My favorite is "Sweet Caroline", but this wasn't that. Something similar though. The leaves start out dark and fade to a lighter color.
