One thing I always look forward to during the coldest parts of the year are the sunrises. Winter sunrises are always so beautiful to me, when the cold sky is mostly clear except for a taste of clouds near the eastern horizon.
Those are always so wonderful to watch. Our mild winter has deprived me of these sunrises though.
It seems I've only seen two or three noteworthy sunrises all winter, but the other day I caught one.
Maybe I'm just not paying enough attention this year. Maybe I've been sleeping later, or my maturing bamboo is blocking the view from the kitchen window more.
Whatever the reason, I'm really appreciating the few beautiful sunrises that I have seen this winter.
I hope there are more to come, but I hope we don't need to lose the mild weather in order for that to happen.
I'll gladly give up a few sunrises in exchange for warm winter weather!

Those are indeed beautiful morning skies...I don't see too many sunrises. More of a night owl, I guess.
ReplyDeleteMore of a sunset person then? I forgot to mention that these photos are a progression of the same sunrise, taken a few minutes apart.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos!
ReplyDeleteI like them all but the first one is my favorite because of the blue sky area color and movement.
I love being around at sunrise but like Cat, I'm a night owl and don't enjoy it often enough. So thanks for sharing yours :). The photos are lovely.
ReplyDeleteI must admit I'm rarely up to see the sun rise, and when I am, I'm not really awake. That's why I appreciate you posting these photos :-).
