texture
Not much to say today, except that I really like textures -- both in the garden and in the home.
Here's a little look at some of the indoor textures that catch my eye every day.
The crust of fresh bread |
Winter-angled sunlight through houseplant leaves |
Natural stone tiles. So rough, so wonderful |
Manufactured counter surface: endless patterns |
Wood, the king of indoor texture |
What are some of your favorite indoor textures or materials?
.
I love these posts that look closely at everyday things. I like to record things from both in and outside from the macro view, to remind myself the small picture is as important as the big one. Helps when I have big projects looming and I find myself puttering around doing the little ones instead!
Lisa: very true that the small picture is as important as the big one... but only if you take the time to look closely. Everybody should, and if I could get more of my neighbors looking closely at plants I'll convert more of them into gardeners I'm sure. :)
Interesting idea. My new camera has better macro capabilities, so I will turn my attention to TEXTURE next time out.
Love these photos - wood is my favourite, at any view.
