Speaking of emerging blooms, what better way to give you a nice taste of the onrushing spring than some nice, cut flowers?
Color, texture, fragrance (sometimes) -- a good solution to the winter blahs and spring fever. Give yourself a boost!
You don't even have to shell out lots of money for this. Yes, cut flowers are pretty pricey (especially when compared to getting them from your own garden), but you don't need the top-end flowers to give you a taste of what you're longing for. Even a bunch of the cheapest blooms will give your spirits a lift.
One piece of advice though...
If the blooms are pollen-bearing, make sure your white pets stay away.
They're as eager for a taste of spring as you are!

I stop to admire those bouquets even when I'm not buying...so cheerful!
ReplyDeleteAre you serious? Did your cat's fur really get that yellow from pollen?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful ethereal images.
Gerhard: yep, that's not fake. She rubbed against the pollen a few times and stayed yellow for a few days.
ReplyDeleteOh my! I've gotten that same stain on my clothing and skin, it takes forever to come off. Poor kitty.
ReplyDeleteHee!! Love your kitty! Guess she likes the new "faux fur" look. Having flowers indoors brings such good energy to the room. My roses are so wind blown, that I hardly get a bunch together. But I can get a bunch of others together, so I should get out there and do it!
ReplyDeleteThe yellow flowers looks like my Calendula!
