Tracks in the snow

One of the best things about a little snow on barren ground is seeing the tracks that are left by various creatures.

Oh, I'm not talking about the ordinary ones like these from underneath the bird feeder.

I'm not even talking about the more unusual ones, like these formed by opossum feet:

No, I'm talking about something more strange, like these:

Those of you who fall into the hardy (or is it "fool-hardy"?) gardener category may recognize this from personal experience: wheelbarrow tracks.

You see, we've got some cold temps coming in for a day or two, and I decided to mulch over the potted plants that were left on the driveway and pushed against the house:

I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that, but better safe than sorry -- I don't really have a need for dozens of damaged bamboo plants. It was kind of fun doing in while the snow fell, but also more treacherous.

That's the track made from "large, heavy pot finally needs to come into the garage, hopefully not too late".

I think I like the opossum track better.
