birds
A somewhat stylized look at one of my favorite birds: the Black-capped Chickadee.
Placing a feeder in the walkway beds was one of the best things I did this winter, as I get to watch these birds all day long.
They love the branches of the not-too-healthy ash tree near the feeder:
They perch there, fly down to the feeder to grab a sunflower seed, then back up into the branches to eat.
Not sitting still for too long though, especially once they're done eating:
I think this tree is more interesting in winter than it is during the growing season...
Maybe that's because I can see the little birds more easily.
Besides, I can't help but think of W.C. Fields whenever I see these birds. Is it just me?
.
I am very fond of chickadees. They don't seem to be bothered by humans much, have lively personalities, and a very distinctive song.
