I gave you warning a few weeks back: it's moss season here, and I cannot resist getting down on the ground for some mossy macro shots.
Most of this lovely green stuff will be dormant and dry by July, so I take advantage while I can.
Moss: welcome or not in your garden?
.
A wonderful book for you: Gathering Moss by Robin Kimmerer. It's a beautifully written, fascinating look at this plant, and I can't believe what I learned. With pictures like yours and the knowledge from her book, I look at moss with new appreciation!
ReplyDeleteMoss is absolutely welcome! I don't understand why so many want to eradicate it.
ReplyDeleteI love moss...it makes everything better!
ReplyDeleteSorry guys, I have to turn on comment moderation. Too many spam posts a day now.
ReplyDeleteI love moss, good thing to because I don't think there is anyway I could keep in out of my garden.

I love moss, and there's an area in my yard where it grows well naturally between the pavers of a path. Great macros!
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of moss and have some similar shots on my blog. I definitely cultivate it by transplanting it into my yards and gardens.
