Rock
Actually, "rock" is probably not the most descriptive title for this post.
It's just that "weathered garden rocks covered in fascinating patterns of mosses, lichen, and algae" doesn't make a very catchy title.
That's what you've got here today though.
This one looks like a California valley to me. |
I was surprised to find so much small-scale beauty on these rocks "already", but after thinking about it I determined it has been six years or more since I placed most of them -- plenty of time for a good patina of growth to form. (Time flies!)
Have any good rocks in your garden?
.
Rocks are my favorite non-plant garden element. We have several rock purveyors near us (yes - you can, and we do, buy rocks!) and we will occasionally spend an hour or two browsing through the boulders! We have lots in our yard already, but you never know what you might find!
Now that is beautiful - you can literally frame them as art - Rock Art would have been an appropriate post name :-)
