'Fourth of July' rose, possibly mislabled |
Ninebark |
Dianthus, smells like candy |
Lonicera x 'Mandarin' |
Chives. I'd grow these for the blooms alone. |
Penstemon 'Husker Red', ready to open |
Nepeta (Catmint), up-close |
'Zaphirine Drouhin' rose |
Asiatic lily 'Tiny Dino' |
Unknown Iris. Possibly my favorite. |
Penstemon 'Husker Red' now open |
Heuchera (Coral Bells) |
'Tiny Dino' again. So bright! |
Pak Choi flowers. |
Penstemon 'Husker Red' again. I'm so surprised the deer didn't prune all of the buds this year! |
Tradescantia virginiana (spider lily). New to me. |
Iceland poppy, new in the garden this year. |
'Husker Red' again. So glad to have blooms, I couldn't stop taking photos. |
I didn't include everything that's blooming. Some of that I covered in recent posts, like this one, or this one, or this one.
How is your garden blooming right now?
.
May is sure a floriferous month! I wish it could last a little longer. Your blooms are looking good and your images of them are great! I especially like the Tradescantia shot!
ReplyDeleteYou take the most fantastic macro shots. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYour post has inspired me. I'll do a "what's blooming" post on my blog very soon.
All those flowers deserve their close-up shots. I really like the 9 bark. Not something I know. You seem to have weathered all that rough St Louis weather.
ReplyDeleteLovely blooms! I agree about the Dianthus, I have one tiny plant in a stock tank that I catch of whiff of every time I walk by...it's divine!
ReplyDeleteLovely macro shots. I love taking those close-ups!
ReplyDeleteWhat's this "blooming" you speak of? Our lilacs and crab apples just finished... No sign of the peonies yet. We're a good three to four weeks behind our normal blooming schedule.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are gorgeous as usual!
The details of these blooms are amazing! Way to go!
