That interesting plant in my yard that turned out to be a common, nasty thistle?
It's not so nasty if you look at it in the right way.
In the end it's just finch food, right?

in Vancouver earlier this month, he asked me to speak at their Study Day
event....
I simply adore thistles...then again I've never had to battle them and their evil ways.
I know they are a noxious weed...but I think they are so pretty!
I just loved this story of "The Life of a Thistle". The photos are amazing and the thistle is a wonderful plant. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
Do I need to mention that I took all of these photos at the same time? There were flowers at every stage of life at once on this plant.
