Tension
Surface tension that is. As in the force that allows a water drop after a much-needed rain to keep its shape as it rests upon a thankful leaf.
There are times of the year when a dripping-wet morning is really one of the most wonderful things in the garden...
When the fact that your feet get immediately drenched as you wander...
...and your skin gets as wet as the plants...
...as you brush past the instantly-refreshed foliage...
...and the sun quickly rises...
...to light the morning with jewels...
...which will soon return to invisibility...
...weighing the air with their ghosts...
...and the lightness of a wonderfully cool morning...
...too soon lives only in the past.

Very poetic!
Needed rain is so refreshing, isn't it?
