It starts...

The sprouting experiment that is.

After a few days of rinsing the sunflower seeds are ready to be sprinkled upon the soil and covered for three days.

The instructions say that covering the seeds with a weight after putting them on the soil is critical.

I suppose that guarantees that they root into the soil instead of being lifted up by their sprouting neighbors?

In any case these are eager to get growing (as most seeds are).

More to come next week.

It looked like little white larva from afar, much nicer up close. Exciting times ahead :)

The last picture almost looked like tadpoles. Your baby sunflowers are adorable! Just think, in a few short months they'll be huge!
