Sunrise and branches

Two of my favorite things about winter: bare branches and being able to see more sunrises.

I see more sunrises not only because there are bare branches to see through, but also because sunrises happen at more reasonable times.

Note that I can only get these views from inside the house. If I were actually down in the garden I'd see nothing.

The bamboo doesn't allow the same views as the deciduous plants do

(I'm thinking that the more "love" I show toward bare branches and other wintery things, the faster Spring will arrive and take them away from me. Outsmarting Nature, one post at a time!)

  1. It's cheerful and uplifting isn't it, to see the sun rising :) spring's just around the corner...

  2. Beautiful shots of that strange bright orb in the sky. What did you call that again? It sure looks bright. When the sun shines here after our typical long stretches of gray sky, we emerge from inside squinting like moles peeking out of their holes.
