Anna at Flutter and Hum hosts the Wednesday Vignette meme, and today I thought I'd showcase my jam-packed, overgrown succulent terrarium.
In a corner of the basement with lights on a timer, this thing gets ignored for at least six months of a year, and then I pay attention to it again once temperatures drop and I start using the treadmill again.
I'll be showing you what is becoming my annual look at refreshing this little indoor garden soon, but today I thought that just the plants would be enough.
Little aloes and similar succulents, all spreading, filling all open space of the terrarium, blocking light from others.
So much trimming (and resulting propagation!), replanting, and TLC is needed. This will be a fun project!
(I'm not very good at this vignette thing. So difficult for me to take just one photo!)
.
Because a terrarium is essentially a vignette in itself, right? And of course I can't show you the full image of the terrarium because it's terrible right now.
ReplyDeleteLoved looking at your terrarium & especially the link to the older post showing it when you first put it together. What a fun change
ReplyDeleteYou have some great plants to work with!
ReplyDeleteWhat Peter said - it was great fun seeing the origins of this terrarium as well as today's treat. Now I regret giving the kids' old aquarium to Goodwill... About the vignette thing - there are no strict rules, so don't worry about it. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is definitely thriving, even without your undivided attention.
