I teased last week that I had a few projects in the works -- three to be exact -- and the first of them is now ready to be revealed.
As you probably know I am now creating and selling custom and semi-custom furniture through my young company Nimble Mill. Today I add my second product to the Nimble Mill lineup: Bayce.
Bayce is a pot container or plant stand made of cedar with a pine base.
I'm really happy with the design!
Some of the details...
Although the unit is sealed against the elements, it's really designed for indoor use. I suppose it could be used in a protected outdoor location too, but you can't let water collect in it.
You can't use this as a planter -- don't fill it with soil!
These riser blocks are included so that whatever pot you choose to use inside will be at the "right" height:
You can also use it upside down as a plant stand:
But it was really designed to be used this way:
The base is available in a variety of colors, although I've only used this one color so far ("Dark Roast"). The hollow part of the Bayce is natural cedar finish -- no other color options there.

What do you think?
.
I love Bayce! It works very well both ways and wood is such a nice compliment to foliage. Your creativity and talent with wood continue to impress us all!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on another fantastic product. I continued to be in awe of what you're able to do.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful design.
ReplyDeleteWow! Beautiful!
ReplyDeletevery nice! I'm thinking of how i would use it - maybe out on the patio, or tucked in the garden somewhere?
ReplyDeleteSo so so fabulous! And only a real gardener would think of the extra touch of the riser blocks being included.
ReplyDeleteVery nice!
ReplyDeleteThanks all!
ReplyDeleteRenee: I don't recommend this for use anywhere that water can collect in it, but on a protected patio it would be great!
Loree: attention to detail is important to me! :)
