Looking back: ice
In going back through old posts for yesterday's long overdue favorite photos of 2012 post, I saw some things that I really liked. This blog was partially going to be a garden "diary" and it's proving its worth in that regard -- I never would have remembered when that heavy snow was, or a particular ice storm, or that exceptionally hot summer (they all blur after a few years).
Today with little time and no new photos on my camera, I thought I'd look back at one of my favorite winter posts from a few years back.
It's after an ice storm in February 2011...
...and it made everything so pretty!
Seems so fitting since temperatures have been hanging around 15ºF (-9ºC) for a couple of days, dipping to 5ºF (-15ºC) last night. At least we don't have any ice right now!
Lots more photos here in the original post from 2011.

Pretty pictures! Five degrees? Yikes!! That's really cold.
It's nice how you can make the cold so pretty to look at!
I grew up in a world that could get well below zero in November and stay there until March and April, I can not tell you why all of my mental images of those winters are nothing but beautiful.
