Introducing: Druhm
The third in my geometric stool/table series is now here: Druhm!
Whorn is cube-like, Trang is triangular, and Druhm is cylindrical. This one was fun to make!
I'll let the photos speak for themselves for the most part today. Like the others in this series, Druhm is very sturdy, a substantial stool or small table for indoors or out.
I experimented with a new two-stage stain technique on this one, resulting in a darker, deeper blue than I've achieved before. I might call this color "midnight". So nice! (Doesn't show correctly in every one of these photos unfortunately -- it's most accurate in the photos with Trang and Whorn I think.)
From the top it's round, or almost so:
It's actually a rounded polygon (11 or 12 sides -- the math said it should be 12 but I measured slightly wrong and 11 worked better this time around. Future versions should be 12...)
Looks great with plants of course...
...or with cool stuff on it:
The feet -- there are three -- are rounded to match the contour:
Here is the entire family:
Wait, there should be more color...
That's better!
I've inadvertently recreated Playstation controller buttons! |
I'll have Druhm up on the Nimble Mill site later today, ready for purchase. Ships anywhere in the US.
If you can't wait and must have this special initial Druhm (serial number D001) email me directly and I'll reserve this one for you.
As always, please let me know what you think in the comments!
BTW that Whorn in Dark Roast is really quite beautiful, don't you think?
.
Stop already! You're killing me with so much perfection!
Seriously, the three together is killer.
I agree with Gerhard, the trio is amazing!
How cute! Especially all the colors.
