Nightmare gets better without me

So nightmare area number two (aka my cactus bed) has gotten much better...


...without any help from me!

The Opuntia macrorhiza is in bloom of course...



...but the bed itself is still pretty much a mess:



These blooms don't last long (just a day?) so I'm glad I didn't avert my eyes out of guilt when walking by this morning!

    Cactus have such waxy flower petals that sometimes I think they aren't real.

    Any nightmare is better with a few flowers! Glad your cactus is happy with it's blanket of leaves.

    Fantastic flowers. I would't get too close to that Opuntia either, unless you are armed with a leaf blower.
