Sneak Peek

Something I've been working on lately. You may have seen these if you follow me on Instagram (hint, hint).

I'm not going to say much about these yet...

...other than more is coming and my garden won't necessarily be the only place you can find these.

I love the combination of wood and metal, and the geometric essence of these works so well with the organic curves of plants IMO.

If you can't wait and need to know more right away, feel free to DM me on Instagram or email (check my "about" page for address).

  1. For awhile Instagram was great at showing you posts from people you follow and interact with, now I can't think of the last time I saw something from you. Stupid. That said these look very interesting!

  2. These are an interesting combination of metal and wood. Looking forward to learning more but have yet to figure out instagram so I'll wait patiently for further posts.

  3. Loree: All social media is getting to be this way -- we think you have too much to look at so we'll decide what you get to see. Blah. I post pretty much every day on Instagram. At least all posts stay in your feed for people to eventually peruse.

Peter: I thought Instagram was easier than any other, but maybe that's just me. You're missing sooo much not being on it! (said with heavy sarcasm) :)

  4. Very cool sculptures! Wood with metal makes a great contrast.

  6. I am so disappointed with all social media - what's wrong with keeping posts in chronological order? Now I see posts that I've already seen from 5 or 6 days ago but miss the brand new stuff. I imagine they are doing this to address people who follow thousands of feeds. For those of us that carefully curate our interests and follow only a few dozen people it's not helpful at all - actually discourages me from even checking my feed.

  7. I realize that you can't fix Instagram Alan - just venting! And your stuff is cool as always!

  8. Lisa: I agree with you, and I'm fine with letting this blog be the place where gardeners can vent against social media. :)

  10. Happy to follow you on IG, Alan. This looks very intriguing! And it's good to know I'm not the only one confused about how the order of posts scroll on my feed on IG.
