I'm growing kale?

My veggie garden has been sadly neglected for two years (or more?) now. Severely neglected. Completely ignored actually. So it was a big surprise to me recently when I discovered...

...that I'm growing kale!

...but I'm sure you already have since the rest of it is just a tangle of weeds.

Now that they've died back the good stuff is visible. Of course I didn't directly plant these -- they are the descendants of kale plants I grew a few years back.

The veggie beds are such a mess!

Dismayed but not surprised to see some bamboo growing in there:

Hey, those are the potted perennials that overwintered here a few years back!

I wonder if any of them have survived, with zero attention from me?

Maybe I'll clean this out and finish the fence if our winter stays mostly mild...
