Something strange here. I don't remember planting a tree in front of the pond...
***
And of course I didn't. There's one there though.
Well, part of one.
It's been a little over a week and I still haven't cut this branch off. Maybe not seeing the pond is a good thing -- out of sight, out of mind?
I'm having a hard time coming up with plants that will work around the back edge of the pond. The Colocasia just can't manage without extra water and I really hate chaining hoses together and dragging them back there. The petasites has almost dwindled to nothing btw. A sad loss, but it's just not practical back there.
So I suppose I'll be dealing with some branches in the next few days. As if I needed something else to cut down -- there are still bamboo canes to remove!
.
Aw, rats! Nothing like an unexpected branch falling into your pond to take up gardening time.
ReplyDeleteWell, an excuse to go garden, right?
ReplyDeleteI was just wondering how your pond was doing! Too bad about the tree branch, but I can't wait to see what you do with it next. Could you leave the edge unplanted for a season, just to see what it might look like?
